Slide 2: Main focus of our documentary To know more about Adnan bin Saidi. To know how he became a hero through his various actions. To know about the war of Pasir Panjang war. To know who Elizabeth Choy is and what are the things she did during the Japanese occupation. To understand why the Malay regiment fight the battle of Pasir Panjang till the end.

Slide 4: Why we decided to present the documentary in this way? We are interested in Adnan Bin Saidi as we had little knowledge on him. He is a good role model for us to learn from. From his determined spirit to his love for his country ,we are very sure that it would be interesting for us to present a documentary on him. It would be very challenging for us. We want to know how much a person know about Elizabeth Choy, what she did for the British during the Japanese Occupation and who she is .

Source-based question 1: Tan Sri Dato’ Mubin Sheppard, an ex-officer and former POW, says of his friend the late Lieutenant Adnan: “He was heavily outnumbered by the Japanese…they bombed him but he fought on fiercely and inflicted heavy losses on them…. Adnan would have never surrendered under any circumstances. He was absolutely dedicated. Slide 7: Source-Based Answers This source tells us that Lieutenant Adnan is an excellent leader. We know this as the source said that “” From this source, we can see that the Malay regiment that were fighting the Japanese at Pasir Panjang, till they die as they also remember the words that Lieutenant Adnan said to that before the battle “he adopted a motto .“ for his platoon Death before dishonor”. Thus, this strive the soldiers of the Malay Regiment to fight the Japanese and for their country till they die. This motto that Lieutenant Adnan set for the them are still remembered in POWs and many others who suffered from the war.
Slide 8: Other possible answers This source tells us that Lieutenant Adnan is a leader that is very determined .I know this as the source said that “ Adnan would never surrender under any circumstances”. From this source, we can see that to protect his country and he does not give up even if the Japanese torture him to force him to surrender to them .Thus, we know that he was a determined leader.
