On the coming thursday, we have a photo and video journalism training. On that particular day, we need to finish our documentary and our photo journalism article.So I suggests that we divide up the work into half.

I’m sure some of us need to do some touch up on our article that we are going to write on.Meanwhile, the others can edit the video or find music that can be put up in our documentary.Maybe some of us can find some music for our documentary,ok?




Retake of the flim-some parts.

These are the parts that we need to retake for our video/flim:

  1. Introduction.
  2. Interviews

Someone must be in charge of taking down what the narrator said during the interview and what the interviewer and the interviewed person said .This is to ensure that when we edit the video, we can still have the text as backup if we cannot hear the narratior clearly.

Besides that, we need to planned when we are going to take the introduction and interview again. I would ask surnarsih if the date is confirmed. And we might need to borrow a video camera from the it trainers or the teacher and ask them.

This things had to be done soon before the holiday, so that we would not be confused during the holiday and then we will panic.

Secondly, as some of us are not needed to retake the video, we should spilt up the job by assigning the task to edit the current video that we have except for the introduction and our bad interview.

As we need surnarsih, derek, julia will flim the retake parts and maybe derek will be in charge of the video camera.So, it will left kangling,nicholas and weihoon to edit the video.However, we still need one more person to volunteer to write/jot down what the narrator and the interviewer said as i mentioned previously.

Maybe we can discuss this online or at school, during tommorow’s period when we are going to the IT resource room.

Script for presentation

This will be the script for presentation, there might still be changes in the future as derek still have not posted the powerpoint till to some problems.

Starting of our presentation:

Derek: Good morning fellows classmates and Ms lee. My group and I will be present a presentation on Adnan Bin saidi and the malay regiment. Firstly, do you know who are the malay regiment and lt.adnan? You might had heard of lim bo seng and elizabeth choy, but not the malay heroes. Before I start introducing who they are, please sit back and enjoy this short video on the battle of bukit chandu which involves the malay regiment,adnan bin saidi and the malay regiment.

Video starts to play..(While the video is playing, Julia will stand at the back of the class,or the middle(we shall discuss about the postitions in school) so as to ensure that our classmates can hear the presenter in front.)

Derek: I hope you had enjoy the video! After watching it, what can you infer from it that lt.Adnan bin saidi is a determined leader?

Surnasih will give the correct answer and read it out while Kangling will screen the powerpoint slide, and remember to set the slide to the first page not the second or the third.

Derek will continue with the mindmap: Let us continue to know more about adnan bin saidi and the malay regiment. (read mindmap.)

Derek took over computer.

Weihoon took over : Now that you know who and what Lt.adnan adn the malay regiment are, we shall ask all of you some questions. (Start with question one.)

Julia : Anyone know?

Surnasih (give the answer): Correct!/wrong! the answer is …

Nicholas (took over as the presenter) : Oh, all of you must be very bored, now that we know mostly what lt.adnan and the malay regiment are, do you know about their personal life? Or any other facts about them? Let me tell you some fun/other facts about them!

Derek will screen the facts and so on…

We need to change our question for the powerpoint slide as derek think that it is not related to our topic.Hmm.. anyone have any suggestions?The questions are : what does this tells you about adnan bin saidi?

Maybe we can change it to : What does tells us about adnan bin saidi’s character?

Or even: What does this tells you about the spirit of the troop of malay regiment that is under Lt. Adnan Bin saidi?

As derek had posted in the very previous post, we need to reorganise our blog according to categories.Nicholas will be in charge of this, so i hope he can get it done before tuesday.

Everything must be done before tuesday as every group member will check the blog again on tuesday.If any of the tasks are not done yet, the group member in charge of a particular task will be punished or scolded.That’s the seriousness of it.Do it or not.

As for the powerpoint, derek will be editing and adding new slides.He would be posting it tomorrow or on monday.So all of us MUST comment on it and if any of us find any thing that can be improved, we can ask derek for the powerpoint slide and edit.

P.S: Derek, rmb to just copy and paste the link to the powerpoint slides, and not the embed code.If it is the embed code, the slideshow will not be able to be seen.




REORGANIZED OF THE POST..

Currently, our blog’s post have not been organized according to their respective catergory. There are 75 post that are uncatrgorized. I hope that this can be done ASAP. I will be posting the powerpoint soon. Please give as much comments as possible. Another important thing. There are insufficient support or source based stuffs avaliable for the powerpoint. Most probably the powerpoint will be posted by tomorrow. Should you have any problems or doubts, please sms me. Thanks.

Presentation’s roles allocation

As our presentation is coming, we need to get prepared.So, the roles allocation for the presentation are as such :

  • Presenters for the introduction: Derek (first 2 slides) and Weihoon(2 slides )
  • Questioners : Julia.
  • Give the correct answer and read it out : Surnarsih.
  • Controll the slides: Kangling (Introduction) and Nicholas (Questions and answers)

Our documentary needs to add some pictures in it, I suggest that we add some “Behind the scenes” pictures so that our video will be much more interesting.Or we can use the “themes” that is available at the Imovie programme.If anyone else have any suggestion, please post it or comment it under this post.

Lastly, do not forget to edit the slides! (to derek,julia and weihoon!) I have some suggestion for the slides.Maybe we can add some personal information on adnan bin saidi;where he is born and why he joined the malay regiment and so on? If you guys like the suggestions, tell me please!So that derek,julia and I can edit it before the presentation.Besides that, we might need to include information on the malay regiment too as adnan bin saidi is related to the malay regiment.

P.S: Nicholas, you must come up with questions and answers that our audience (Ms joyce lee,our fellow class mates) might ask.That way, we will be prepared and we would not panic so much.Ok?Please get it done before tuesday!
