Comments; dicussions

27 06 2008

I just want to post about how we should comment on other people’s work as sometimes we do not know what we should write when we comment.(People like me!)

Please note that dicussion and comments are also counted as part of the rubrics.

1-Whether the person in charge of the work had done it well and why.

2-Ways or suggestions to help them improve their work.

3-Any areas that you found that the person had did not put it into their post or explanation.

Article:

The Battle of Singapore was fought in the South-East Asian theatre of World War II when the Empire of Japan invaded the Allied stronghold of Singapore. The fighting in Singapore lasted from Frebruary 7 1942 to February 15 1942.

The Japanese troops invaded Singapore and battled with the British soldiers. Unfortunately, Singapore had a lack of defences. The British soldiers fought hard to beat the Japanese but they were outnumbered.

For eight days the battle went on. The British soldiers were weak as British sent the untrained and lack of experience soldiers over to Singapore. They kept their better soldiers there as they were also having a war. Therefore Singapore fell into the Japanese on February 15 1942. Percival surrended Singapore to the Japanese.

From then on, life in Singapore had changed.

Draft for photo journalism (last pg)

Adnan Saidi is a firm man who took discipline seriously, chose instead to pursue the military vocation.

Adnan’s ship was sunk by the Japanese soldiers.

Adnan was shot, but he continued fighting. After the battle was lost, Adnan was taken as a prisoner by the Japanese soldiers. He was later hung on a rubber tree, and was bayoneted to death.

Adnan caught the disguised Indian troops’ marching error.

When Singapore surrendered, the Japanese kempeitai tried but did not succeed to find and murder Adnan’s family in revenge for what happened in Bukit Chandu.

Ps: Please tell me if this is enough. If not I will add more information.
