G3 Production

From this trip, I have learnt various interesting information from the trip. I have learnt that Lim Bo Seng was a real true hero because he died with his mouth close. It means that Lim Bo Seng didn’t reveal any information to the Japanese army. The information can be exchanged for his life but he didn’t risk it. He is a true hero. Sacrificing his life for others, he is more than honoured. I also learnt that the huge sacrifice and suffers that occur during World War 2. It is something not many people nowadays will do. From all this experience, we must continue to help out and protect Singapore in time of needs.

I enjoyed the whole process except for the part when i rains. we would do a Plan B for the 2nd trip to fort siloso in case it rains again. i found that my group members are fast thinkers and managed to film at least an indoor video before we went home.

I had a lot of fun editing the pictures that we had took during the trip. I learnt how to change the contrast and lightness of the picture and also, we learn how to turn it in to a black and white picture. It’s fun watching my group members changing the colours of the picture to pink,grey,yellow and more.

During the course, the instructor said that our trip to fort siloso will be postponed, which means that we will be 2 or 3 weeks behind the other classes. That means that we need to buck up more, if not, we will be behind the timeline. I hope that my group and my class can catch up with the rest of the classes so that we will not lose out.

I felt quite disappointed as we could not flim at all due to the heavy rain.We ended up in the surrender chamber,carrying out the first scene of the storyboard.I felt confident that we can do much more better in the next trip to Fort Siloso.

I felt that we should come with a plan B so that we will be more prepare if there are any heavy rain.From this trip, I learn how to interact with my group members and also to be prepared in case anything unexpected happens.

After this trip,I know how the British soldiers live and why the chinese cooks are normally hired to cook for the British.I also learn that the condition of the place that the soldiers live in at that time are horrible.

After the first trip, I felt that we should actually prepare another storyboard in case of rain. The rain during the trip affected our storyboard and we have to re-plan on our storyboard. From my own opinion, I also think that we are not fully-prepared for the filming even though we did a discussion on what is going to happen during the film. But based on my own observations, I think that even though it is raining, our group is still very cooperative and we tried to find spots where we can do our introduction.

When doing the project:
Julia: I feel that we are behind our time line but we still managed to finish in the end even though
there are many technical problems and time allocation problems. Overall, our group members are well corordinated and were coroperative.Each of us contributed in our own ways.Such as contributing ideas, posting research summaries on the blog.
Wei Hoon: I feel that we are not following the time line. But we could cope with the our tasks and i really enjoyed the entire process working with my team mates-Julia,Derek,Nicholas,Sunarsih and Kang ling.Though we tend to talk about other subject during discussion, we still managed to appoint duties to each others.This is a point that we need to improve on. From the process, I had learnt how to work together as a group, to listen attentively to each others when they are contributing their own ideas.In this project, I learn how much a normal person had to be a hero.

Nicholas: I enjoyed the project and my team mates are fun,funny and interactive.They contribute quite a number of ideas for the project.We had a lot of fun interacting with each other. I also know more new webistes for me to find information for research.

Surnasih: I feel that doing the project is fun and interesting because i get to learn about singapore’s history as well as get to know some of the new classmates. Working with a group that consist of only Chinese students is quite a new experience as i always work with team mates that is either mostly my own race or my own cliques. Overall, i guess the project when well and as planned.
